To close Michael Lau's Gardener tenth exhibition in Los Angeles in 2009, the Hong Kong artist unveiled this Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski SB 'Michael Lau Toy,’ featuring the same aesthetic as his collectible vinyl figurines. Rendered with a wood-grain appearance and white leather laces, the low-top skate shoe also features the first day of the exhibition—09.29.2009—embossed on the ankle.
