In 2002, avant-garde designer Yohji Yamamoto paired with adidas to create Y-3, an ongoing, cutting-edge collaboration. In 2013, the partnership released the Y-3 Kaiwa, a deconstructed runner bearing Y-3's signature black and white color patterns. The upper is revealed in a soft premium leather, with topstitching and an exaggerated mudguard, plus Y-3 branding on the oversized tongue. Below, a serrated outsole with subtle cutouts finishes the look.
