Superstar 1 Music 'Underworld'

Released in 2005 and limited to 5,000 pairs, the adidas Superstar 1 Music ‘Underworld’ is one of seven models from the Superstar’s 35th Anniversary Music Series collection. Created in collaboration with British electronic group Underworld and design collective Tomato, the sneaker is inspired by the band’s Japanese tour and stage productions. The gold upper—which is treated with 3M Scotchlite and features inscribed song lyrics—completely transforms to a bright, reflective silver when hit with direct lighting. Subtle “Tomato” and “Underworld” wordmarks are seen on the heel stripes, while the insole rounds out the design by continuing the upper’s lyrical pattern.
