First introduced in 1967, runner Tommie Smith contributed to the Suede's icon status when he carried a single Puma Suede sneaker to receive his medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Since that historic day, Puma has continued to add original iterations to the Suede lineup including the Suede Classic Brogue 'Taffy' sneaker. The suede upper is trimmed with brogue detailing along edges, sitting atop a cushioned sockliner and rubber outsole.
