Tennis pro Stan Smith won the 1971 U.S. Open while wearing the first leather tennis shoes, now recognized as the adidas Stan Smith. First designed by Horst Dassler, adidas released this version in the classic silhouette but with a faux pony hair upper in a leopard print. A black leather heel tab and Off-White rubber sole provide contrast to this reimagined shoe.
