In March 2017, Nike welcomed eight young ‘Imaginairs’ to their Beaverton, Oregon HQ to help design grade school sized Air Max Zero colorways. This colorway was designed by young football star Sam Gordon who became internet famous after her Dad uploaded a video to YouTube of her running rings around her male opponents in a youth football league. Her colorway features a white and grey upper with metallic silver overlays and a gold Swoosh. It also comes with a white sock-like inner sleeve, a white midsole, and a pastel blue Air Max unit with a matching rubber outsole. It dropped in January 2018 alongside grade school sized Air Max Zero colorways designed by Annie Leblanc, Lincoln Markham, Mark Thomas, Sulivan Gwed, Kaycee Rice, Mademoiselle Garcia, and Wang Junkai.
