Paying tribute to professional skateboarder Paul Rodriguez’s heritage, the Nike SB Paul Rodriguez Zoom Air Elite 'Cinco De Mayo' sneaker is a Mexican-inspired shoe that celebrates the eponymous holiday. Released in May 2006, it was designed by Marco Hernandez and sports the colors of the Mexican flag. The leather upper is adorned with Chicano-inspired artwork on the sidewall, while mismatched tongues feature the phrase ‘Smile Now’ and ‘Cry Later.’ The word ‘Fuertes’ (which translates to ‘Strong’) is embroidered on the green heel tab.
