The adidas three-stripes logo was originally purchased from athletic footwear brand, Karhu Sports, for two bottles of whiskey and the equivalent of 1600 euros. This all-black NMD R1 ‘The Brand With The Three Stripes’ sneaker celebrates the logo by having its tagline scrawled across the shoes upper French, Japanese, English, and German. The shoe was released on July 8, 2016, alongside an all-white NMD R1 ‘The Brand With The Three Stripes’ sneaker.
