In 2015, adidas released its first NMD R1 which combined old-school elements of the Micro Pacer, Boston Super, and Rising Star with its popular Boost technology. This lightweight running shoe became a fan favorite for its royal blue and red plugs. It returned in 2017 with a slightly darker collar and a glossier three-stripes logo.
