In March 2017, Nike welcomed eight young ‘Imaginairs’ to their Beaverton, Oregon HQ to help design grade school sized Air Max Zero colorways. This colorway was designed by Musical.ly star Mark Thomas. It has a black and gold Flyknit upper with gold and black overlays that feature a unique paint dripping motif. The sneaker also comes with a white midsole, gold Air Max unit, and white rubber outsole. The colorway dropped in January 2018 alongside grade school sized Air Max Zero colorways designed by Sam Gordon, Lincoln Markham, Annie LeBlanc, Sulivan Gwed, Kaycee Rice, Mademoiselle Garcia, and Wang Junkai.
