Free 5.0+ DB 'Doernbecher'

Part of Nike’s 2013 Doernbecher Freestyle collection, this Nike Free 5.0+ DB 'Doernbecher' was designed by Jake Dering, a young patient at the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Jake’s love of dancing is represented by his shoe’s lenticular upper, which gives the effect of always being in motion. It also features Total Crimson Flywire cables to match the Nike Free 5.0 sole underfoot. Jake’s encouragement accents the footbeds, with one reading ‘Be Brave’ and the other ‘Never Give Up,’ while his mantra—‘I wasn’t made to fit in, I was made to stand out’—wraps around the collar.
