Nike borrows design cues from their 90s basketball heritage and blends them with more conventional technologies for functional performance. The shoe is constructed with a Flyknit application throughout the upper to form a sock-like fit that foregoes the laces for a zippered application at the heel. The lightweight Air unit provides cushioning, while the bug-eyed carbon fiber panels on the midsole contribute to the nostalgic look, lifted straight from the Air Zoom Flight 95.
