The defining hoops shoe of the '80s, the Nike Dunk High designed by Peter Moore in 1985 was central to the resurgence in popularity of college basketball because of the 'Be True to Your School' ad campaign. As newer and lighter basketball shoes hit the market, the Dunk High eventually became the go-to skateboarding and lifestyle shoe.
