The Nike Blazer originated as a basketball shoe in 1973, first seen on the great George “The Iceman” Gervin, but because of its vulcanized rubber sole it ultimately shifted over as a mainstay of skateboarding and lifestyle footwear. The 2009-released Nike Blazer Mid GS ‘Glow in the Dark’ shows just how far the shoe has evolved. This kids' sneaker incorporates an a black upper with glow-in-the-dark Volt graphics that create an X-ray effect.
