In December 2009, Nike tapped New York-based textile company Maharam for an edgy redesign of the iconic Blazer High. This special edition makeover reflects the retailer's weaving heritage and technical discipline by pairing check horsehair and calfskin on the upper. The waxed laces, Swooshes and heel embroidery heighten the textural effect. A sleek cupsole and herringbone tread design further the modern aesthetic.
