Taking inspiration from an earlier model called the Limber, the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 was renamed after the Japanese national team used the shoe during the Olympic Trials in 1966, leading up to the 1968 Mexico Games. In addition to the name change, the Mexico 66 would add the now-familiar ASICS side stripes. The OG colorway is recreated on this pair, featuring a white leather base adorned with contrasting blue and red stripes.
