It’s the shoe that the Black Mamba wore before the advent of the Zoom Kobe 1, which explains this Lakers-inspired colorway. This retro pair from May 2016 is true to the original, featuring a black nubuck upper adorned with a traditional quarter-panel Swoosh, a throwback detail that lead designer Eric Avar included as a response to the proliferation of mini-Swooshes and reverse Swooshes during that time.
