Air Payton II

Released in 1999 courtesy of Nike designer Eric Avar, the Air Zoom GP incorporates design elements from ski boots, track spikes and cycling shoes. A Dynamic Fit sleeve makes the shoe feel like a natural extension of the foot, as does the asymmetrical laces. Its distinguishing feature is a wide lateral midfoot strap, embodying Gary Payton's nickname, 'The Glove,' by wrapping the foot with a custom fit. A ratchet lockdown secures the fit, and Zoom Air offers responsive cushioning.
