Devoid of color, the Nike Air Max Zero ‘Triple White’ conveys the shoe’s origins as a prototype silhouette from 1985—a shoe that could have been the first Air Max sneaker but was instead relegated to Tinker Hatfield’s personal archive. The pre-Air Max 1 concept, ultimately released in 2015, combines a mesh upper with fused overlays, mounted atop a foam midsole that houses a visible Max Air unit.
