The Nike Air Max BW Ultra modernizes the 1991 Tinker Hatfield design with an updated construction and extra breathability, executed in a neutral, two-toned colorway for an understated yet streamlined look. The original sneaker was equipped with more padding around the ankle and a larger Max Air unit—called the 'big window'—which gave it a nickname that stuck. This iteration replaces the typical leather-and-mesh upper with synthetic perforations and no-sew skins for support.
