Designed by sneaker legend Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Air Max 1 began the brand's visible Air revolution in 1987. This model from 2012 sees the icon in a subtle Granite, Deep Smoke and Black colorway. The upper begins with a breathable mesh underlay and adds layers of suede for a luxurious look. A full-length foam sole supports the design, enhanced by a heel Max Air unit like the original. The outsole takes on a Waffle-inspired pattern for traction.
