The Nike Air Max 1 LE GS was made in a limited run for gradeschool kids, featuring a black colorway highlighted by volt mesh and a metallic-silver Swoosh logo. Created by Tinker Hatfield in 1987, the original Air Max adult shoe was the result of his visit to Paris and the glass-constructed Centre Pompidou. The building's transparent facade inspired the visible Air cushioning unit, and from the idea sprang a footwear idea that would become a classic.
