The Nike Air Max 1 was debuted in 1987 as the first sneaker to transparently showcase the brand's Air technology. This 2004 edition sees the style in a Redwood, Birch, Baroque Brown and black colorway, tracing the original paneling put in place by designer Tinker Hatfield. The shoe's upper is made from premium leather and sits atop a Max Air-enhanced foam midsole. At the bottom, rubber tread takes on a Waffle-inspired pattern.
