Releasing exclusively in girls’ sizes, the Air Jordan 12 Retro GG ‘Hornets' sports a colorway inspired by North Carolina’s NBA franchise. Michael Jordan became the majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets—then known as the Charlotte Bobcats—in 2010, and this shoe’s Blue Cap upper and Dark Purple Dust outsole reflect the team’s colors. Dark Purple Dust also appears on the laces and inner lining, while hits of metallic silver appear on the eyelets and tongue.
