The Nike Air Huarache was designed by legendary sneaker creator Tinker Hatfield and released in 1991. Hatfield drew inspiration for the shoe's unusual neoprene upper from water-skiing booties, which impressed him with their virtually universal fit. This rendition, the 'Metallic Gold Coin' sneaker, retains the neoprene bootie of the classic, casting it a Khaki hue to complement the metallic heel clip. The upper's cage is cast from premium suede for a luxurious feel.
