To pay tribute to the 20th anniversary of the original 90s classic, Nike released the Air Griffey Max 1 'Volt' sneaker in May 2016. The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 sneaker was the first signature sneaker for baseball legend Ken Griffey Jr. First introduced in 1996, the shoe became one of the most popular turf trainers ever. The leather and nubuck upper is wrapped with its signature ankle strap accented with Griffey’s jersey number.
