Destined to be the best-selling shoe ever, the Air Force 1 Low was released to the public in 1983, following up the original high-top from the previous year. Nike designer Bruce Kilgore's creation was the first basketball shoe to have Nike Air technology, appealing to big men like Moses Malone who liked the cushioning and high profile. With the low-cut silhouette that point guards and people in general appreciated, the shoe became a cultural muse, like this version with metallic silver.
