Every year, Nike teams up with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation to create the Doernbecher Freestyle collection—a program where patients design a signature Nike shoe to raise funds for the Foundation. Released in December 2010, the Nike Air Force 1 07 LE DB sneaker was designed by then-11-year old Tony Signorelli, who was diagnosed with Dandy-Walker Syndrome. His take on the AF1 sports a bold, two-tone leather upper with a textured, metallic gold treatment on the Swoosh and heel. Signorelli's personal mottos, ‘Think Positive’ and ‘Positive Happens,’ are printed on alternating toe boxes.
